How to Install MS Office 365

To install Microsoft 365, sign in at microsoft365.com with your Microsoft account, click 'Install apps', and run the downloaded installer. The apps install in 10–20 minutes. You can install on up to 5 PCs or Macs, 5 tablets, and 5 smartphones depending on your plan.
Install on Windows
Sign in at microsoft365.com
Open microsoft365.com in your browser and sign in with the Microsoft account linked to your subscription.
Click 'Install apps'
On the Microsoft 365 home page, click 'Install apps' in the top right, then select 'Microsoft 365 apps'.
Run the installer
The OfficeSetup.exe file downloads automatically. Open it and click 'Yes' when prompted by User Account Control.
Wait for installation to complete
Installation takes 10–20 minutes depending on your internet speed.
Sign in to activate
Open any Office app (Word, Excel, etc.) and sign in with your Microsoft account when prompted.
Install on Mac
Sign in at microsoft365.com
Open microsoft365.com and sign in with your Microsoft account.
Download the Mac installer
Click 'Install apps' → 'Microsoft 365 apps'. A .pkg file downloads to your Downloads folder.
Run the .pkg installer
Double-click the downloaded .pkg file and follow the on-screen steps.
Sign in to activate
Open Word, Excel, or any Office app from your Applications folder and sign in with your Microsoft account.
Install on iPhone, iPad, or Android
Microsoft 365 mobile apps are free to download and use for viewing. Editing on a screen larger than 10.1 inches requires an active Microsoft 365 subscription. Search for 'Microsoft Word', 'Microsoft Excel', or 'Microsoft 365' in the App Store (iPhone/iPad) or Google Play Store (Android). Sign in with your Microsoft account after installing to unlock full editing features.

If you reach your device limit, sign out of Office on a device you no longer use. Go to account.microsoft.com/devices to manage your installed devices.
