Office 365 Password Reset
Forgot your Microsoft account password? Follow this independent step-by-step guide to reset your Office 365 / Microsoft 365 password quickly.
Go to the Microsoft sign-in page
Visit account.microsoft.com or login.microsoftonline.com and click 'Sign in'.
Click 'Forgot my password'
On the password entry screen, click the 'Forgot my password' link below the password field.
Verify your identity
Choose a verification method: email, phone number, or authenticator app. Microsoft will send a code to your chosen method.
Enter the verification code
Enter the code you received. You have a limited time to enter it before it expires.
Create a new password
Enter a strong new password. It must be at least 8 characters and include a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols.
Sign in with your new password
Return to the sign-in page and log in with your updated credentials. Update saved passwords in your browser or password manager.
